I am the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at Seal Elementary. This is my 7th year teaching in Douglass. I was previously at Jefferson Elementary in El Dorado, KS. I grew up in Douglass and wanted to get back home so I could raise my children in Douglass. We bought the home I grew up in right here in Douglass! I love being back home!
I taught the At Risk 4 Year Old Program for 2 years, Kindergarten for 1 year, and Early Childhood Special Education for 3 years at Jefferson. I am so thankful for my time at Jefferson because I was able to “find my nitch”. I loved the 4 Year Old Program but Kindergarten was very challenging for me. Early Childhood Special Education is what I love the most. I love working with students to meet new goals and watch how much progress they can make in 1 single year!
I’ve been married for 8 years to my husband, Allen, and we have 2 boys; Bryden (8) and Kade (3). We just moved out to the farm where I grew up. We are very excited to raise our son right here in Douglass even though my husband is a Rose Hill native. We have a chocolate lab named Remi who we adore!
I love spending time with my husband and our 2 boys; Bryden and Kade. We enjoy Ranger rides around the farm to see the cows, boating and wakesurfing, family movie nights on the couch, and being outside! I enjoy walking and exercising to stay healthy.
