Physical Education Teacher
I am a 1982 graduate of Hill City High School. I attended Bethany College in Lindsborg, Ks. and graduated in 1987.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and K-12 Physical Education and Health. I also have my certification in Special Education with an emphasis in Behavioral Disorders.
The 2020-2021school year will be my 32nd year of teaching, my 26th in Douglass. My first 6 years were with the Derby School District. I taught special education for 19 years, was a literacy specialist for 3, and have spent the last 10 teaching elementary physical education. I am also currently an assistant Sisk Middle School football coach and the head baseball coach for Douglass High School.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Connie. We have 4 children. All of them have gone into education. One is a principal, one is a KG teacher, and one teaches 3rd grade. The 4th one taught for 7 years and now works in the nursing field.
When not teaching, I enjoy biking, camping, metal detecting and church activities.
