DOUGLASS

I started off being a substitute teacher in Douglass in January 1997. I became a full time middle school teacher in the fall of 1997. I am currently teaching 7th and 8th grade math. I also have one math tier class with 6th-8th graders. I am also involved in coaching high school volleyball and middle school boys' and girls' track.

I am married to Les, who is also a Douglass graduate. He is a member of the school board. He works for Coonrod and Associates. I have 2 daughters. My oldest, Alexis, is a nurse and is married to a Brazillian named Jota.They have given me the opportunity to be a grandma to 3 beautiful boys named Lucas, Enzo, and Giovanni. My youngest, Hailey, is an elementary school teacher in the Andover School District. She is currently dating an Australian named Cam. Love my family and the cultural connections that we have!

I enjoy being with the students here at Douglass! They are like an extension to my family since I spend a lot of time with them. When I am not around them, my family and I enjoy going to Table Rock Lake. I also LOVE to be with my grandsons and workout!
